Leviton’s Decora Smart® 60A High Current Controller is a UL3141 certified power control solution to allow an electric vehicle charger or other high current appliance to be added to a home with undersized service, without affecting the load calculation of the electrical panel, avoiding costly upgrades. The Controller detects when total current consumption of the main circuit breaker capacity is too high and temporarily de-energizes the electric vehicle or high current appliance, only re-energizing when the current consumption returns to safe levels. Works with the My Leviton app - optionally connect to Wi-Fi, no hub required, to enable full smart features such as monitoring status and tracking energy usage, and receiving notifications when consumption is high and the load circuit is de-energized or when operation has returned to normal.
