They are produce by professional artisans who also produce many other hand-crafted items in wood which are exported worldwide. Each sale supports the Boys Town Society on the outskirts of Madurai which assists orphaned and underprivileged children from the local community. They can serve as a reminder of your part in assisting the needy in impoverished areas of India help themselves. Palm Crosses are prepared by using the young leaves of PALMYRAH PALM tree. This tree grows in tropical areas and its family name is ARECACEAE.
