- READ FIRST, PATIENT MOBILITY REQUIRED: This device assists repositioning, it does not lift or turn a patient on its own. The patient must retain some upper-body or trunk movement and be able to tolerate side-lying. It is not suitable for fully immobile, fully paralyzed, or unresponsive patients. For patients over [200 lb] or with limited trunk control, two caregivers are required. If your patient cannot assist at all, this product will not work for you.
- CHECK LEG OPENING AND WIDTH BEFORE ORDERING: Big Size is 20.6" (52.5 cm) wide with two leg openings of 6.7" (17 cm) each. Thighs wider than the opening will not sit securely and the legs may slide out during turning. Measure the patient's thigh width and hip span first. Regular Size (18.7" wide, 5.1" leg openings) is the correct choice for smaller patients who do not need the extra width. Sizing is the most common reason for returns on this item, so please compare dimensions rather than guessing. Big is not automatically better, extra width on a small patient makes the device harder to control.
- WHAT IT IS AND WHAT IT IS NOT: Supports side-to-side repositioning for diaper and pad changes, linen replacement, washing, and back care. It is not a patient lift, not a transfer board, and not a substitute for a hoist or hospital lifting equipment. It does not eliminate caregiver effort, it redistributes it so turning requires less pulling on the patient's limbs.
- FIRM BY DESIGN, NOT A COMFORT PILLOW: The core is high-density foam and is intentionally firm. Soft foam would collapse under body weight and provide no turning support. This item is designed for short repositioning sessions, not for continuous sleeping or all-night positioning. If you are looking for a soft cushion, this is not the right product.
- WATER-RESISTANT WIPE-CLEAN COVER, EASY CARE: PU cover wipes clean with a damp cloth and mild soap and resists surface spills. The zippered cover is removable. Please note the cover is water-resistant on the surface, not fully sealed, so avoid soaking or submerging. Includes 1 U-shape pillow with 1 retaining strap. Illustrated instructions included.
