- External Chamfering: First, insert the pipe into the correctly sized groove, making sure the edge sits firmly against the blade. Then, turn the screw to adjust the blade tilt angle. Next, rotate the pipe clockwise to chamfer, applying moderate pressure. After several rotations, the chamfer will be complete. Before you start, always ensure the pipe end has been cut flat and smooth.
- Internal Chamfering (after external): Loosen the screw counterclockwise until the inner blade touches the pipe’s inner wall, then rotate the tool clockwise to chamfer the inside.
- Additional Notes: Always complete external chamfering first before proceeding to internal. For larger pipes, attach a 1/2" ratchet wrench to the square socket on the back of the tool for better control and reduced effort.
