Ironright Fabric -Double-Sided Fusible Web Ironright Fabric- is a premium double-sided fusible web. It's made from 100% thermoplastic polymer resin – no added adhesives, no solvents, and completely eco-friendly. This ultra-sheer web bonds fabric softly but firmly without adding bulk. Perfect for fiber arts, appliqué, pattern transfer, quilting, and so much more. Works on fabric, paper, craft foam, leather, velvet, cotton, delicate tulle, organza, and many other materials. VERY IMPORTANT – READ FIRST This is NOT regular iron-on interfacing. It is a double-sided adhesive web. Do NOT apply your iron directly to it. You must always work between non-stick surfaces (like Teflon-coated fiberglass sheets, silicone baking parchment, or non-stick pressing sheets). Best working temperature: 270°F (132°C) on the webbing surface. Steam can be used if your fabric allows it.You can lift and reposition fabric pieces before final fusing. For a permanent bond, we still recommend stitching (quilting) the edges – this web is repositionable, not a permanent glue. HOW TO USE: THE BASIC Sandwich – Place fusible web between two layers of fabric, then between two non-stick sheets (protect your iron and work surface). Tack – Iron to attach the web to the back of one fabric piece. Cut & Place – Cut out your shape, position it on the other fabric, pin if needed. Permanent Bond – Use a hot iron (steam optional), cover with non-stick sheet, and glide the iron over the shape with light to moderate pressure. Repeat 2–3 passes. Layering heat for delicate fabrics: If your fabric needs lower heat, try multiple light passes. Lift the non-stick cover between passes – this prevents air bubbles, especially on sheer or tightly woven synthetics. Expanded Uses – Beyond the Basics Ironright Fabric is incredibly versatile. Try it for: Mending & repairs – Fix torn linings, hems, or pockets without visible stitching. Hemming – Create quick, no-sew hems on curtains, pants, or skirts. TRANSFERRING A PATTERN Ironright Fabric is clear – you can trace directly onto it. No need to cut through paper or reverse your design. Pin the fusible web to a page protector (clear plastic sheet). Lay it over your pattern. Trace the design using a heat-erasable marker (works like a ballpoint pen). Remove the page protector and place the webbing onto your fabric – adhesive side? Actually, the web is double-sided, so just lay it down. Keep tracing lines visible. Iron with a non-stick cover – the lines will transfer directly onto the fabric back. Tip: Work on a firm, flat surface for clean transfer. For dark fabrics, use a white or light-colored heat-erasable pen. Appliqué Method 1.Place your template on the non-adhesive side of the web (the side without the release paper –note: this product is paperless, so just use any side). Trace with a heat-erasable pen. 2.Pin the web to the right side of your fabric, adhesive side down. 3.Stitch directly on the traced line – backstitch at start and end. 4.Trim excess fabric close to the stitching line. 5.Gently pull the web apart from the fabric and make a small cross-cut. 6.Turn the appliqué right side out – use a blunt tool to push out curves and corners. 7.Place the appliqué on your main fabric (adhesive side down) and iron on (with non-stick cover). 8.Edge-stitch around the appliqué for a clean finish. Handy Tips & Tricks Clean your iron–Even with a non-stick sheet, residue can build up. Wipe your iron plate occasionally with a soft cloth. Test first–Always test on a scrap of your fabric to find the best heat and pressure. Storage–Keep fusible web flat in a cool, dry place. Avoid direct sunlight and heat. Sharp scissors–Use clean, sharp scissors to cut the web for smooth edges. Repositioning–If you make a mistake, gently lift the fabric while the web is still warm. You can reposition and re-iron. No glue needed–This product replaces messy liquid glue for most fabric crafts. Pinning–If the web shifts, use fine pins through the non-stick cover, but don't pin directly into your ironing board.
